Is your country on the Qatar free entry list of 80?

"With 80 nationalities eligible for a free visa waiver upon arrival, Qatar is now the most open country in the region", the QTA chairman was quoted as saying by Reuters.

Americans, Britons, Canadians and citizens of 44 other countries can enter visa-free for an initial 30 days on single or multiple trips, and can extend that for a further 30 days.

Lebanon is the only Arab country, outside the Gulf, on the 80-country list published after the press conference.

Before the Qatari visa announcement, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) announced through its spokesman Anthony Philbin that Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be easing their blockade on Qatar by opening some of their airspace to Qatari-registered aircraft.

Qatar announced on Wednesday visa-free entry for the citizens of 80 countries, in the latest move by Doha to counter economic isolation measures against it by three of its GCC neighbours and Egypt.

The four countries relations' severance with Qatar, gradual economic slowdown, and continued challenges in the construction and contracting sector, will lead asset quality to decrease slightly, according to Moody's. The nations which have been extended the facility include the UK, Canada, the USA, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and Seychelles. This waiver would allow eligible visitors to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation by completing an online application at least 48 hours prior to travel.

The agency stated that this also depicts Qatar's weak ability to support the country's bank. "This important initiative from the Ministry of Interior and Qatar Tourism Authority will provide an opportunity to welcome even more visitors, from even more countries, to experience the many exciting attractions that await them". "There is no doubt that facilitating and streamlining access at all ports of entry are key factors in creating a positive first and lasting impression of Qatar".

In May 2017, QTA and Qatar Airways launched +Qatar a package that included a free night's stay in a 5- or 4- star hotel in Doha, alongside a complimentary transit visa. The maximum period of validity of the waiver would be 180 days, followed by an extension of 90 days.
