It was flipped for $2.14 million - a almost 50 percent profit - in March. The host notes that, though the home is not in any way officially linked with the president or the White House, Trump's aura abounds.

There is a person living fulltime in one room of the house, and "there is a giant cut-out of Donald in the Living Room", it adds.

The house was built by Mr Trump's father, developer Fred Trump, in 1940 and is listed on Mr Trump's birth certificate.

The principal of the real estate agency that handled the March auction confirmed to Newsday that the listing is real, but refused to say whether the homeowners or the renters had completed the posting.

"I don't know if I can comment on that", he reportedly said when asked who posted the listing.

The home's new owner has added bunk beds and sofa couches into the home so it now sleeps 20. The Airbnb listing says a tenant resides in the basement and is available to "help you make the most of your time here".

Staying in the President's former home will set you back $725 a night.

Pets and parties are banned, but breakfast is provided.

"Not much has been changed since the Trumps lived here", the listing reads.
