Britney Spears Responds To Media Critics By Singing 'Something To Talk About'

She then belted out Raitt's bluesy classic, struggling at first but then belting out the track.

"So I've been doing a lot of thinking lately, right?" the singer began her introduction, before opening up about the fickle side of fame.

"The press and the media my whole life, because one minute they tear you down, they're really awful, and the next minute, you're on top of the world", the 35-year-old told the audience. "But I never really spoke about", she shared with the crowd. "I'm from Louisiana", she continued as the audience cheered.

Sounds like a good ole' southern SLAY, Brit! "And I just want to make sure I keep having you motherf--s something to talk about, OK?"

This is the second time in recent weeks that the mum has 2 has sung completely live on stage as she previously sang "Happy Birthday" to a member of her tour crew on stage a few weeks ago.

"A lot of people think that I don't sing live", Spears said during a TV interview in Israel ahead of her historic Tel Aviv gig on 3 July. And nobody ever really gives me credit for it'.

"Usually because I'm dancing so much I do have a little bit of playback, but there's a mixture of my voice and the playback", Spears said.

"To put on the show that she puts on, it's virtually impossible to sing the entire time and do what she does".

Though she has not come out speaking aboutthe scary experiencefrom August 9, the incident left Spearsstartledafter a fan rushed the stage during her "Piece of Me" Vegas residency show.

The Spears Las Vegas residency is scheduled to end in December. That date was the last time she posted to herInstagrambefore her return this week.
