According to WrestleZone.com, former NXT Champion Bobby Roode has been spotted at the Barclays Center at tonight's "Smackdown Live" tapings.
Roode made short work of Aiden English as he put him away with the Glorious DDT after just a few minutes and he played up the adulation from the crowd after the match ended.
The Glorious One has been rumored to be receiving a large push upon arrival to the main roster, and may be treated as one of the top 5 wrestlers on the show.
Bobby made his way down to the ring as the crowd chanted, "Roode!" As reported by ProWrestling.net on Tuesday night, the latest episode of SmackDown Live took place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, site of this year's SummerSlam PPV.
The Canadian's theme song has become a viral sensation, his cockiness has helped him become an elite-level heel and the manner in which he was booked in NXT gives him a ton of momentum and credibility as he embarks on the main roster.
Will Naomi still be Smack Down Live Women’s Champion after Sunday’s PPV
RAW was sadly devoid of any major debuts or returns and we hope WWE has saved the best for the blue brand. In a backstage moment on SmackDown Live, General Manager Daniel Bryan had a word with Chad Gable.
When Roode did not debut on Monday, it was seen as a foregone conclusion that he would be at SmackDown.
Roode is now on SmackDown Live. Would you rather have him on "Smackdown Live" or "Monday Night Raw"? Benjamin had a previous eight-year run within WWE spanning from 2002 to 2010. During his time with WWE before, he partnered with Charlie Haas as "The World's Greatest Tag Team". Either way, it could end up benefitting WWE's newer star in Gable.
