Florida police say Facebook comments on officers' selfie 'made our chief blush'

Officers Nordman, Hamill and Rengering were simply going about their day to day business as part of the night crew scheduled to work following Hurricane Irma. "I can't remember where I was going with this.", wrote another commenter. We suggest you grab a Snuggie, a glass of wine- but please drink responsibly- and some tissues because you might just cry laughing.

Katie Sonmor wrote: "The kinda photo that makes you want to intentionally break some kind of law".

Hundreds of thousands of people have since shared it, and the comments are filled with compliments on the officers "hunky" looks.

Darlene Wagner posted: "Excuse me while I commit a felony". "I need to be cuffed and frisked immediately.' - Every woman in Florida after seeing this post". You've actually made our chief blush with some of them'.

They also noted that two of the officers, Nordman and Hamill are married, adding that their wives "enjoyed knowing how millions of women are going insane over their husbands". The photo made it to the Gainesville Police Department's Facebook page, and from there, the world.

Sadly, they also confirmed that two of the pictured officers are already married, though Officer Rengering (on the right) is still single.

"4. On another note, Officer Rengering is being placed into Cougar Prey Protective Care, similar to the witness protection program for his safety", it read, as well as discouraging people from calling 911 in order to get a glimpse of the officers.

"So, Sarasota Police Department evidently has some guys headed out to help with rising floodwaters".

However, they did announce that they would release a calendar soon to raise funds towards Hurricane Irma recovery efforts in Florida.
