Death of the Outsider brings players back to the Empire of the Isles, with breathtaking visuals, intricately designed levels, and brutal combat systems that are a hallmark of the Dishonored series.
But if you're new to this series, Dishonored is all about ultra-powerful supernatural assassins navigating a corrupt, decaying steampunk empire, and Death of the Outsider is a standalone adventure that's a ideal entry point even if you've never played a previous Dishonored game. In the trailer, players get to see Billie Lurk as she makes her way to annihilate the entity that is known as The Outsider.
The trailer doesn't reveal all that much about the game's story, but it does show off some interesting gameplay mechanics, weapons and powers Billie will be able to employ in her (mad?) quest. Once one of Dunwall's most notorious killers for hire, she is reunited with old, deadly mentor Daud.
As players go through the game, they will also encounter some familiar faces in the form of the Karnaca guards as well as the Clockwork Soldiers.
