Panchkula court sends Honeypreet Insan to 14 days judicial custody

The laptop belonged to Honeypreet and a special investigation team (SIT) had cited in a local court that the laptop along with the phone would have to recover from the possession of Honeypreet and her aide, Sukhdeep Kaur, on October 10.

Apparently, all the details of the escape plan are in Honeypreet's secret diary which the police are yet to recover, sources said.

Vipasna Insan, one of key organiser of the dera Sacha Sauda today reached Panchkula to appear before SIT formed by Haryana Pilice to probe violence on the day of conviction of dera head Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh.

Haryana Police had arrested Honeypreet from Zirakpur on October 3, around 25 kilometers from Chandigarh.

A Haryana Police officer too had alleged that the security personnel that were attached to Ram Rahim had made an attempt to abduct him from the court complex. "Both Honeypreet and Sukhdeep have been remanded in judicial custody till October 23", defence counsel S K Garg Narwana said.

Police are making desperate attempts to trace Honeypreet's mobile as it believed to have crucial details about her involvement in spreading violence.

Police Commissioner (Panchkula) A S Chawla said, "We have chose to send the phone for cyber forensic examination".

The Haryana Police had sounded an worldwide alert against all three.

Ram Rahim has been sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of over Rs 30 lakh.

She had topped a list of 43 people "wanted" by the state police in connection with the violence. It further claimed that Honeypreet had posted a video of Panchkula violence from her mobile, which further nailed her role as a conspirator in the violence. Police also believes that Honeypreet's laptop, which is likely to have important information about the conspiracy, is with Vipassana.
