Sketches released in Sherri Papini kidnapping case

The FBI released two new sketches today of the women suspected of kidnapping Sherri Papini almost a year ago.

First, authorities found that the California mom had male DNA on her clothes when she was picked up by cops, despite her claims that she was kidnapped by two women. "Sherri, however, stated she had not been sexually assaulted, and there is no physical evidence to indicate otherwise".

The samples belonged to a woman and a man and were collected off Papini's body and clothing, respectively, the Redding Record Searchlight reported.

The FBI released the sketches of two female suspect in the investigation.

Papini was branded on her right shoulder, but the message is unclear. He was also found not to be involved in her disappearance.

Sharri Papini had limited details about the suspects.

Sherri Papini still has not been able to provide a full detailed statement on her 22-day captivity due to her "poor recollection", Jackson said.

She said she had been held captive by two women.

"Obviously, in any investigation, especially something of this nature where there's trauma and it's a prolonged thing, it's not abnormal to have inconsistencies, because recall and circumstances in people's perception", Jackson said.

She was dumped by the side of a road in Yolo County after she heard her captors arguing and then a gunshot. The Detroit resident was supposed to be in town on a business trip, Jackson said. Her cellphone and headphones were found near where she had last been seen, about a mile from her home, investigators said. Jackson said Sherri Papini also had hose clamps around her ankles, apparently a form of "pain compliance restraints".

"It has taken time for Sherri to recover to a point to be able to provide accurate details to the sketch artist", a sheriff's office press release obtained by PEOPLE states.

Authorities say based on their evidence Keith has been cleared of involvement in Sherri's disappearance.

Papini, 35, a California mom, was allegedly kidnapped last November 2 while jogging near her Redding home and found 22 days later along the side of a rural road on Thanksgiving Day. He said the kids should have been home from day care, but they were not.

"The two suspects are described as a Hispanic female, between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 5'5", with a medium build, coarse, curly, dark brown hair, thin eyebrows, and pierced ears, and the second suspect is described as a Hispanic female, between 40 and 50 years old, approximately 5'7", with a large build, long, straight black hair with some gray in it, thick eyebrows, and pierced ears. The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the identification of the two suspects.

Investigators showed Sherri Papini pictures of SUVs that were in her neighborhood around the time of her disappearance, but they said she didn't recognize any of them.
