Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict ejected for contact with official

Vontaze Burfict caught what was surprisingly his first-ever National Football League ejection in the first half of today's Bengals game against the Titans.

The Bengals linebacker has been among NFL's most suspended and most frequently fined players. Sometimes, which happens, you push back and it's the official, you can't do that. As referees separated Burfict and several Titans players, Burfict pushed a referee off of him. "He knows better. We pay a price, we pay a price because he hurts us when it's on the field that way and then he's not on the field, so both ways".

Sidenote: ESPN notes this is the first ejection in Vontaze's career, which is honestly a total shocker. He started this season with a three-game suspension for a hit during the preseason.

The incident with the official was Burfict's second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty of the day. Following the play, Burfict made contact with an official and was immediately booted by referee Jeff Triplette. Last Sunday, wide receiver A.J. Green was tossed from Cincinnati's matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars after tussling with cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
