Police say the suspect had attempted to steal the first victim's property, which was in a fitting room.

Bloomington police say they have a subject in custody following a stabbing that injured two people Sunday night at the Macy's store at the Mall of America.

Police Chief Jeff Potts said, "There have been two adult males that have been taken to the hospital and have what are described as non-life-threatening injuries". "Some family members assisted the victim and a second man sustained another knife wound". "The suspect is in custody". When the victim returned to the dressing room, he confronted the suspect, and was stabbed.

"My daughter could see people lying on the ground who had been stabbed", Kim Schwieters, who was waiting to see St. Nick with her three children, told the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

"We saw two cops running toward Macy's", she said. He got me!'. I knew something was not right.

"We saw the man walking through before, talking to himself, really really loudly talking to himself", she said.

The police then asked everyone to clear the area, she said.

This is a developing story.
