Nicole Kidman made a bold fashion statement at Glamour's 2017 Women of the Year Awards.

It was a fitting choice, considering Williams was presenting Hadid with an award!

"He gives me so much strength at times, and he gives me so much love", she said.

"You are one of the few people on this planet I would leave my baby for-for one night", Williams joked to the model. "You're never alone, and you're never stuck, no matter how down you feel".

She said: "Our success is never just about us, it's also about all women that paved the way so we could be here". So let's speak out. "Bridges bring understanding, they bring empathy, but they bring change, and that's what we need, we need change".

Other honorees included Gigi Hadid, who received her Supernova prize from Serena Williams, director Patty Jenkins, who was honoured with the Changemaker award from original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter, and Solange Knowles, who took home the Artist prize.

It's been a huge year for the Big Little Lies actress, who added another trophy to her huge collection on the evening, this time the Film Actress of the Year award.

"Thank you for supporting and embracing me, for allowing me to fail and to fall down and get back up, brush off my knees, even if they're bloodied, and fly".

But it was Kidman's upbringing, she explained, in a household consisting of a feminist mother and a loving father where "everyone was equal" that taught Kidman the concept of "good love".
