Meghan Markle and Patrick J Adams leaving Suits after seven seasons

Rumours have growing steadily for months that 36-year-old, who has played a paralegal-turned-lawyer Rachel Zane on the popular series since 2011, will quit the show to move to the United Kingdom and announce her engagement to Prince Harry.

Adams plays one of the leads: Mike Ross, a brilliant college dropout who was hired as an associate at a prestigious Manhattan law firm by attorney Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) at the start of the series.

This article contains spoilers for season seven of Suits. The character, played by Gina Torres, was phased out in season six past year to pave the way for a pilot for her own spin-off show. Adams, who has directed four episodes of the series, may also return as a director next season.

Markle, meanwhile, has been rumored to leave the series since it was revealed that she's dating Prince Harry in 2016.

Talks are taking place regarding a Season 8 renewal, but no agreement has been reached.

Reps for Adams and the network declined to comment on the report; however, a source tells EW that discussions are still ongoing. "This is true on all long-running shows, and people have things happening in their lives". She loved being on the show, and we loved having her on the show, that's why we're doing the spinoff.

"I went to bed, and woke up in the morning and realized "Oh, yeah".

Meghan Markle is officially done with Suits, and is exiting the show after its seventh season along with Patrick J. Adams.

"Suits" is set to return for its last six Season 7 episodes in January.
