Packers RB to miss 3-6 weks with MCL sprain, report says

Now things have gotten worse for the team as their best running back, Aaron Jones, injured his MCL and is out 3-6 weeks, according to Adam Schefter.

The Packers had a season-high 37 rushing attempts against the Bears in Brett Hundley's first win since he took over at quarterback for Aaron Rodgers, who broke his right collarbone on October 15.

"Packers RB Aaron Jones will have an MRI tomorrow, but source said the initial diagnosis is a sprained MCL", wrote Rapoport on Sunday.

Jones, 22, left the Packers game against the Chicago Bears Sunday in the first quarter with a knee injury.

The Packers also lost running back Ty Montgomery to a rib injury in the first half.

The rookie out of UTEP was the Packers leading rusher this season, with 370 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 70 carries. "Looks like he got his right foot stuck on the turf and bends underneath him on the tackle".

Packers rookie third-string running back Jamaal Williams took over from there with 67 yards on 20 carries.

But if they can win a few of those games, and Aaron Rodgers is eventually cleared to play, it could be enough.

Coach Mike McCarthy confirmed Monday that Jones' knee is a "multiple-week injury". He rushed for more than 100 yards in two games this season.
