CBS' "The Talk" introduced rap star and actress Eve as their new fifth permanent co-host officially on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

In June, Aisha Tyler announced that she'd be leaving the show after six years to focus on acting and directing.

Eve is better known for her hit songs with Gwen Stefani, "Rich Girl and "Let Me Blow Ya Mind", her sitcom Eve and her role as Terri Jones on the Barbershop series of movies".

After a brief guest-hosting stint in October, the daytime talk series has decided to make Grammy-winning artist Eve Jeffers Cooper, known to her fans simply as "Eve", the fifth co-host for Season 8. "I'm kind of quiet on social media, so this is a fun way for me to be expressive and show people who I am right now". This opportunity came and it's something new, something exciting.

"I've watched the show and the one thing that I liked about it is that all the women are all genuine", she says. She also does a voice on the FX comedy "Archer". "But the last few months I've been feeling that I want to join something".

Tyler, who has already guest co-hosted this season, is expected join the ladies at the table and fill in as a co-host from time-to-time when scheduling permits.
