Once the secret was out, Kardashian West shared that North is excited to welcome her baby sister.
She said: "You know, it is really different. And I'm like, okay".
A beaming Ellen replied: 'She's a toy tester. and you just told us it's a girl'.
"Oh! I did! Yes, it is".
While she's not sure how son Saint West would react because he's little and doesn't get it yet, daughter North is pretty excited, she said.
'She has a toy, a llama, ' she told Ellen. The KKW Beauty founder said that she had people write name suggestions on a little tile and they'll "see if there's something that sticks".
"Kim is disappointed", says an insider, noting that she'd hoped the birth would take place at LA's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where kids North, 4, and Saint, 23 months, were born.
Kim revealed, "I think it is so much harder to go through it this way, because you are not really in control".
A separate source added that Kylie - who was in attendance at Kim's shower - had been planning her bash for some time, and it was Kim who decided early last week to throw her party on the same weekend.
Well either way we can't wait for the Internet to go predictably insane over whichever name they choose.
It really does have a ring to it, considering North herself was apparently named after the North Star.
However, the reality star has admitted that the process hasn't been as plain sailing as she'd thought it would be.
Recently, the Kocktails with Khloé star showed the slightest hint of a bump in a new Good American promotional picture that she posted to Instagram.
Since Kim's not down with Star, what do you think the new Kardashian will be called?
