La Liga Star Wants Man Utd Move?

As per a report from Le10Sport today, La Liga giants Barcelona are moving closer to agreeing personal terms with Atletico Madrid star and long-term Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann, ahead of a possible move to the Camp Nou.

Media reports previously claimed that Manchester United was also interested in Özil, who is of Turkish origin.

Ozil is yet to reveal what his plans are with regards to penning - or not penning - a new deal with Arsenal, and time is fast running out with the 28-year-old's contract due to end in June 2018.

The Sun claims Ozil is holding out for wages of £330,000 to sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium, well in excess of the north London club's current salary structure.

He said: "Some players, as they get older, change their schedule. That's up to him and Real Madrid. He is an important player, he is at an important club and wants to win things with Atletico". "Our contacts with Arsenal continue and are going in a positive way".

A mammoth signing-on fee could swing talks in Atletico's favour and, after an 18-month transfer embargo for breaking Federation Internationale de Football Association rules over the transfer of under-age players, could have a sizable transfer fund burning a hole in their pocket.

Jose Mourinho has dictated the officials to trigger the 12-month extension clause in Ander Herrera's contract, chiefly for snubbing any interests from other clubs, particularly Atletico Madrid.

"Both players looked happy here and overall I hope the situation can be turned around".
