Actress Rose McGowan was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance after police said she left behind some luggage on a flight at Washington Dulles International Airport that tested positive for narcotics.
Rose McGowan was released from custody Tuesday after turning herself in for a drug possession charge.
Police launched an investigation after they allegedly found traces of narcotics in personal belongings left behind on a United flight arriving at the Washington Dulles International Airport on January 20, the AP reported.
She tweeted: "Are they trying to silence me?"
According to The Blast, the 44-year-old turned herself in to the Loudoun County Sheriff's office where she was arrested, took a mugshot, and was then released on bond.
McGowan has been one of the leading voices against sexual harassment in Hollywood, and tweeted earlier in October that she was raped by a man with the initials "HW".
Information from the Associated Press used in this report. McGowan said that back in 1997 she reached a $100,000 settlement with the Hollywood executive for "an episode in a hotel room during the Sundance Film Festival". The arrest warrant was issued on February 1, 2017.
"What a load of HORSES-T".
