The home-based Super Eagles will play in Group C alongside Libya, Rwanda and Equatorial Guinea at the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The draw was held on Friday andmMatches in the group will be played in the city of Tangier.
Zambia and CHAN debutants Namibia are in Group B at the tournament Morocco will host from January 12-February 4.
Rwanda were the last team to qualify for the 2018 finals, edging Ethiopia 3-2 on aggregate in a play-off after Egypt made a decision to forfeit its slot at the championship.
Rwanda, on their part, are expected to provide the Super Eagles with a stern test as both countries meet for the first time in the group stage of a continental tournament at senior worldwide level.
The Rayon Sports shot-stopper admitted that, "It is a big tournament for us as players".
The left-back was part of the team that lost out in the group stage at the 2016 edition of the competition in Rwanda, but is confident the Nigerian side will do well this time around. "We have drawn with strong and experienced like Nigeria and Libya but we are upbeat for the games and we will give our best to get out of group".
The East Africans were the last country to seal a spot to the tournament, defeating Ethiopia 3-2 on aggregate in their two-legged playoff.
"They are all good teams that have qualified for the finals but we need to show that Rwanda is a big team too that can beat anyone".
