PDP woos ex-VP Atiku Abubakar after resignation from APC

A former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

The former vice president's departure is one of the first major fractures to emerge publicly in Buhari's APC, formed from a coalition of smaller parties to contest the 2015 election against then-president Goodluck Jonathan.

He announced the news of his resignation from the party in a statement issued on Friday morning.

Questions over Buhari's fitness or willingness to run in 2019 are rife in Nigeria, both within and outside his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) party, which Abubakar had earlier quit in an unprecedented public rupture.

Daily Trust added that it learnt that the former APC presidential aspirant is expected to arrive Yola tomorrow in preparation for his decamping to the PDP. Everything about them is complete disaster.

He said the party was already aware that Atiku would leave in December. We have no knowledge of what will happen in the future. But in John 8: "32, the Bible says 'And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free'". "That platform ( APC) is the worst platform in the history of politics in Nigeria", Adeyeye said.

"It took courage to take that bold step and I commend him for it".
