Temperatures are expected to decrease through the week, with highs in the 30s Tuesday and Wednesday and possibly the 20s Thursday.

Showers, windy conditions and high temperatures in the mid 50s are in the forecast today for Auburn and Cayuga County. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Up to a quarter-inch of rain is possible, more in storms. Some of the stronger winds aloft may be able to mix down with the heavier showers with a few gusts possibly reaching 50 miles per hour at times with the fast moving line of showers.

Low around 24. There will be a 30 percent chance of snow showers at night.

Initially, the stronger southerly wind is affecting travel on east-west roadways, but by later Monday, north-south roads may become hard to navigate, said NWS. The temperature is expected to get no higher than the upper 30s on Thursday.
