Bridge Constructor Portal Is Coming To Switch In Early 2018

Rather than a Valve-made sequel to Portal 1 and 2, today "Headup Games" announced that they would be releasing "Bridge Constructor Portal", a spin-off of the Bridge Constructor series.

The cunningly-named Bridge Constructor Portal launches for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, as well as on mobile platforms via iPhone, iPad and Android.

Bridge Constructor Portal's announcement was believed to be planned for The Game Awards on Thursday evening (7 December) but the game leaked when its announcement trailer appeared early on developer Headup Games' YouTube channel.

For the previous year we've been secretly working in our underground labs on the next iteration of the million-selling Bridge Constructor series.

"Bridge Constructor Portal will blend the laws of structural engineering and technology straight from Aperture Laboratories into an exciting new game experience, all under the demanding gaze of GLaDOS".

It's not a joke or a quick cameo: there really is a new Portal game coming out.

In the Portal version, there will be more puzzle-like elements, as you would expect from any game involving the famous Portal gun.

Fans have been waiting for Portal 3 for years, but Valve seemingly aren't behind the development of Bridge Constructor Portal aside from giving the go-ahead for the use of their license.

So instead there's Bridge Constructor Portal. Game console versions are due in 2018.

And since we know that some will say it...
