The UFC is reportedly eyeing a heavyweight championship bout between Ngannou and reigning titleholder Stipe Miocic for UFC 220 on January 20 at the TD Garden in Boston, MMAjunkie's Simon Samano reports.

"Now they've got a star", Rogan told Wren (transcribed by Mike Bohn for MMA Junkie).

Ngannou is 11-1-0 in his professional MMA career and 6-0 since entering the UFC in 2015.

'Anyone that has that equalizer will fare well.

And it also appears he's eyeing up a title in the sport of boxing.

'I'd like to see Francis about one year from now fight whoever the heavyweight champion is, whether it be Deontay Wilder or Anthony Joshua.

This rankings update welcomes another newcomer courtesy of UFC 218: Strawweight vet Felice Herrig took her fourth straight win, earning a split decision over previously eighth-ranked Cortney Casey-Sanchez.

Joshua and Wilder are both fresh of defending their respective world titles.

The Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather fight was one of the most hyped and talked about confrontations of recent times, generating unprecedented levels of interest that perhaps nobody was quite expecting. Now with 10 straight stoppage wins to his credit, Ngannou will face Miocic for the Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight title sometime in 2018; so impressive was his knockout of Overeem that the Cameroonian has opened as a -160 favorite against the reigning Miocic.

Miocic last defended his championship back in May.

'He's really smart, he really studies, he really studies, and he really believes what he's going to accomplish.
