This announcement just happens to also coincide with the release of Rainbow Six Siege's newest expansion, Operation White Noise, which is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The 25 million players have a lot to look forward to in 2018 too, as Year 3 kicks off with Operation Chimera, which will add a French and Russian operator, along with the Outbreak event, which is a limited time co-operative event that many have speculated could be zombie related. They bring new maps and special forces characters themed around various regions of the world.

Dokkaebi is an Attacker who used her unique equipment, the Logic Bomb, to hack into enemy devices and reveal their location with a loud noise.

On the occasion of the second anniversary of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft announces that Operation White Noise is available for all platforms.

This new season includes the new Mok Myeok Tower map set in a height defying building in South Korea in which the Rainbow Team has to intervene. He makes use of an Electronic Rendering Cloak which essentially allows him to remain undetected by hostile cameras. "As the game progressed, we continued to develop it with the community in mind", the game's brand director Alexandre Remy said.

Operation White Noise, part of Season 2, also introduces three new Operators with signature weapons: Dokkaebi, Vigil and Zofia. Non-Season Pass owners will be able to purchase them using Renown or R6 Credits starting December 12.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Rainbow Six Siege is a new approach to the first-person shooter experience.
