Shashi Kapoor: Veteran Bollywood Actor Passes Away At 79

Celebrities from Bollywood attended the fourth day ceremony held at Prithvi theatre in Mumbai in memory of the actor on December 7, 2017. The late actor's colleagues and family members were the first ones to arrive at the prayer meet.

Actor Randhir Kapoor, son of veteran actor Raj Kapoor, confirmed the news.

Shashi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan were frequent co-actors and the pair was popular with the audiences. Randhir Kapoor's daughter Karisma Kapoor arrived with mother Babita while Raj Kapoor's wife Krishna Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor's wife Neila Devi were also escorted to the venue. Jeetendra and Rakesh Roshan arrived at the venue together. Shashi Kapoor was also wrapped in tri-color for the last rites.

Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor has been training intensively for his much-awaited movie, the "Dutt biopic", which is a biopic on Sanjay Dutt.

Other guests included, Rani Mukerji, Rohan Sippy, Milan Luthria, Chunkey Pandey, Nandita Das, Ahana Kumra, Kunal Kemmu, Soha Ali Khan, Ashutosh Gowariker, Kiran Rao, Abbas Mastan, Suniel Shetty, Madhur Bhandarkar, Abhijat Joshi, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Ronit Roy, Udit Narayan, Ramesh Taurani, Vipul Shah, Sonali Kulkarni, Hansal Mehta, Zoya Akhtar, Sudhir Mishra among others.

He was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 2011 and received cinemas prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award in 2015.
