The Nintendo Switch is quickly becoming the go-to console for games with couch co-op and local multiplayer.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle now features a great single-player mode as well as cooperative challenges, but Ubisoft isn't stopping there. "Each player has just three available actions per turn, and how you decide to invest them is a big part of the strategy here", a post on Ubiblog reads.
Players will also be able to select either all-Rabbid or all-Mushroom Kingdom-based teams, unlike in the main game where players had to have Mario and at least one Rabbid on their team at all times.
The new mode is a welcome addition to a fantastic game, and once again shows Ubisoft delicately balancing the mix of paid and free add-on content for their games.
In the main campaign for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, players will form a team of three unique characters, customizing their abilities via each character's dedicated skill tree to form the ideal trio. On Friday, December 8, the game will add a competitive mode - and it's absolutely free for all players.
Ubisoft says it'll be available from the eShop on December 8th, seeing as its already that for us here, it should be sometime soon. Each team receives three tickets per turn, and one ticket is used up each time any of your three characters moves, attacks, or uses an ability.
