While there were few specific details one could pull from this trailer, the little we've seen here looks lovely and full of the burning excitement we've come to expect from the Soul Calibur franchise. The game is out in 2018 and no release window was given for it. One thing of particular interest is that both their weapons are glowing different colors, with could be purely aesthetic based on the weapon or perhaps a special mechanic that players will have to learn. At The Game Awards 2017 Bandai Namco producers Katsuhiro Harada and Motohiro Okubo took to the big stage to announce Soulcalibur VI, the first new entry in the acclaimed series in over five years.
Like Tekken 7, Soulcalibur VI is being built using Unreal Engine 4. Only time will tell.
