Carson Wentz rebounds from early interception as Eagles tie Rams

Wentz has been ruled out of Sunday's road matchup with the Rams due to a knee injury.

Late in the third quarter of Sunday's game, with the Eagles trailing 28-24, Wentz appeared to score a touchdown after scrambling and diving over the goal line.

Nearly immediately after Wentz headed to the locker room, the Eagles ruled him out for the remainder of the game.

A few plays before Wentz hit Alshon Jeffery for a two-yard touchdown pass on 4th-and-goal, he took a pretty hard shot as he dove into the end zone on a touchdown that was nullified by a penalty.

Wentz had four touchdowns on the day. The Eagles say he will not return.

It's a nightmare scenario for Eagles fans - and it couldn't have come at a worse time.

He walked off the field and into a tunnel at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum after emerging from the tent, and backup Nick Foles began taking snaps from center Jason Kelce on the sideline. Not only was he quarterbacking the team with the best record in the league, but also threw for 33 touchdown passes and only 7 interceptions.

Any injury to Wentz would be a devastating one to the Eagles, especially if it is serious.
