Now that the devices and technologies are showcasing, we are ahead of experiencing the same in the future days. That fingerprint scanner was announced last month, and Synaptics recently confirmed that it is already producing large quantities of Clear ID for the "world's top five smartphone manufacturers', and Vivo belongs in that group".

The Chinese smartphone maker showcased the latest technology at CES 2018.

The company said that it will announce the availability of its first smartphone with an in-display fingerprint scanner in early 2018, though a date was not specified.

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas is in full swing, and Vivo has just shown off the world's first smartphone with a working in-display fingerprint scanner. And with no doubt, this draws attention from audiences worldwide.

The recent fingerprint scanning technology aims to offer users a better and a more convenient way in terms of fingerprint authentication experiences. With companies shifting to bezel-free OLED infinity display, it doesn't leave any room for fingerprint scanner below the display. Users just need to tap on display and it recognizes smartphone through one-touch fingerprint scanning directly on the smartphone display. Future smartphones are also expected to follow the same trend in such a way that users don't encounter any difficulty while unlocking their smartphones. It initially showcased this phone back in June 2017 Shanghai at MWC 2017.

After an entire year of speculation about whether Apple or Samsung might integrate the fingerprint sensor under the display of their flagship phones, it is actually China's Vivo that has gotten there first.

Supported by global partner Synaptics, the technology supports various usage scenarios beyond unlocking the smartphone - from performing an unlocking to mobile payment and other operations.
