Yes, the perfectionist who is known to have an awesome choice of films as an actor and as producer too is mighty impressed with Kaalakaandi. Speaking about the film, Saif said, "I liked the script, which has an entertaining take on Mumbai". He wrote, "Kaalakaandi is one of the funniest films I have seen in a long time". Absolutely loved all the performances. Days before the official release, the makers of the film, organised a special screening for the actor and his family. Saif was outstanding! What a debut Akshat (director)! Proud of you. Don't miss this one guys, it releases tom.

Kaalakaandi faced lot of hurdles to make it to the theatres. They have found the scary bits in the film quite amusing. Firstly, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) asked for insane number of cuts due to which the makers chose to move to the Tribunal.

"I got the offer but I felt that the role was not suitable for me as I was not connecting with it so I made a decision to do something else", Saif said in a press conference. The film in question is none other than Kaalakaandi, directed by Akshat Verma, who wrote Aamir's quirky 2011 comedy Delhi Belly. The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Vijay Raaz, Deepak Dobriyal, Sobhita Dhulipala, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasurywala and Akshay Oberoi. There are three different tracks but all mix together and become this nicely orchestrated story. The film that is clashing with two films- 1921 and Mukkabaaz, is receiving good reviews from the audience.
