In addition to performing, the 20-year-old songstress opened up about her solo venture and discussed what it's like having Barack Obama as a fan.

It's safe to say that, even after a year of drama, Cabello is now thriving: Her self-titled debut solo album was released on January 12 and, within hours of its release, went to number one on iTunes in 100 countries, breaking the previous record for a debut album.

But Camilizers didn't stop there! Camila now holds the record for most No. 1's on the music platform for a debut album. "I just felt very alive". While we've all come to love Cabello's 2017 banger Havana, the former Fifth Harmony artist chose to perform her new pop-rock ballad, Never Be The Same.

"I was just curious and I wanted to learn and I saw all these people around me making music, writing songs, and being so free", she said. "If you pull from all the different little parts of yourself, nobody can replicate that". Her debut album, Camila, is now available for purchase. "It was, 'Don't do something for the outcome, do it for the work and because you want to have something great in your portfolio, for you.' I love proving that I can do things for myself, rather than for someone else".
