Everton vs. Tottenham: a pre-match word from Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham, who have been hit by spiralling costs in the construction of their new stadium, could demand around £150m for Kane if they were to choose to cash in on their prize asset. Away from home has been a problem for Everton, but even though they have only won once all season, they have still managed to score in five of the last six games.

The statement came in the wake of rumours that Spanish giants Real Madrid were keen on signing star striker Harry Kane to bolster their squad.

Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that, as of today, Tottenham Hotspur are not close to signing any players, amid questions over rumoured interest in Bordeaux winger Malcom. He has guaranteed that no players that Tottenham want to keep will be sold in the summer transfer window. Danny Rose has expressed some of his frustrations at the club and has been linked with a move to Manchester United.

"Mauricio's strategy has always been that if an opportunity arises that he thinks can improve the squad then we will need to look at it, but January is always a very hard window".

Tottenham Hotspur have made the first move in trying to secure the future of Dele Alli and are willing to hand the 21-year-old a huge pay rise.

The Turkey worldwide signed a week ago from Besiktas and manager Sam Allardyce confirmed he would be in the squad.

Defender Mason Holgate was involved in a confrontation with Roberto Firmino at Anfield that could have consequences for both players.

"If something is available in terms that we can take, of course we are going to do it but, if not, it's hard. It is up to us to find a mixture of both defensive resolve and attacking goal".
