HTC U11 Eyes to be unveiled on January 15

The HTC U11 EYEs will be launching next week on January 15 and the company has confirmed this via an invite posted on Chinese social media site Weibo. He's also claiming that the U11 EYEs will be priced at CNY 3299 which translates to approximately $510 or Rs 32490.

Although the company hasn't shared any details about the device, we already know a lot about it.

The device is expected to come with a 5.99 inch display with thin bezels around the display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It still has the same curved glass design and will have black, silver and red color options. Let's get to the other leaked specifications. In terms of specs, the HTC U11 EYEs isn't a particularly powerful handset.

In an interview with Engadget last year, HTC President Chialin Chang had also said "We'll definitely be releasing a dual-camera phone next year, but we'll need to figure out how to make this feature stand out".

Towards the end of 2017, we learnt about the forthcoming HTC U11 EYEs thanks to reliable leaker Evan Blass. A fingerprint sensor will also be included. The device will reportedly come with 64GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. The phone will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor.

Reports say the phone could land in Hong Kong, China, and HTC's home country Taiwan first, and then in other markets, including the USA, as HTC Harmony. It seems that the wait is over, however, with the phone set to be announced on January 15.

According to Mr. Blass, the U11 EYEs will launch with Android Nougat and support HTC's Edge Sense, a customizeable feature that launches apps and actions when you squeeze the phone's sides. Back in 2014, HTC also launched a device under the "Eye" branding because of it had identical front and back cameras, as pointed out by Android Authority.
