Rodney Hood had himself a tough night at the office Wednesday. The Wizards (23-18), who were embarrassed 116-69 in Utah on December 4, fell to 11-10 against teams with losing records.

He could claim that he thought the guy was reaching up for a high five. "We were fortunate that a few shots missed and we made a couple big ones when we needed to".

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Harrison Barnes had 25 points and 11 rebounds, Yogi Ferrell made seven 3-pointers and scored 22 points and Dallas fended off fatigue to beat fresh Charlotte.

That proved to be a huge shot because Washington turned the ball over on the next possession. Utah (17-24) got just its fourth road win of the season.

A 3-pointer by Wall and a 3-pointer by Kelly Oubre Jr. capped an 8-0 run and the Wizards led 99-98 with 2:31 left in the game.

The shot proved to be a crucial one as the Wizards went on to turn the ball over on the next play, leading to a trip to the free-throw line for Joe Johnson, who put his team up 104-102 with 23 seconds remaining. Washington's defense erred with an ill-advised double-team on Mitchell's penetration. Udoh made his third start of the season. "It can not happen", Wizards coach Scott Brooks said.

The Salt Lake Tribune's Kyle Goon reports that the unidentified fan spoke with Capital One Arena security and Jazz security during the fourth quarter and was "pressing for police action".

Jazz: Ingles had 10 points. Already without C Rudy Gobert, Utah played without F/C Derrick Favors (right ankle sprain).

Wizards starting small forward Otto Porter was back in the lineup after missing the Saturday game with hip and back injuries.

At least his team ended up winning the game. "Items inside included M&Ms with pictures of each guard and "(hash) NBAvote" on the back.
