Albrecht added that Starz looked at the fan base surrounding the films as an advantage to creating a TV show. "This is a chance to engage with the phenomenal fanbase ..."

The wildly successful dog revenge fantasy franchise John Wick is coming to premium cable, and expanding the film's universe beyond the steely gaze and monotone voice of Keanu Reeves' titular character.
Speaking to open the Starz panels at the Television Critics Assn. press tour on Friday, network Chief Executive Chris Albrecht said "The Continental" and the movies will exist side by side.
Chad Stahelski - who directed the first two John Wick blockbusters and is poised to helm the third - is expected to direct the pilot. And, Chris Collins (Sons of Anarchy, The Wire) has signed on as a writer and showrunner.
