Stephen Curry sprained ankle in practice, won't play vs. Clippers

Durant became the second youngest player in National Basketball Association history to score 20,000 points and was asked if he might be able to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's scoring record.

By game time it seemed like the only thing worth watching would be if Durant would reach 20,000 career points, which he did before halftime, knocking down nine of his first 10 shots en route to the historic mark. He was a full participant in a light workout Tuesday and now appears likely to return on Wednesday night.

Yet health has been a major issue for Durant in recent years, with injuries costing him 55 games in the 2014-15 campaign and a combined 30 in the past two seasons. Antetokounmpo is averaging 28.7 points on 55.5 percent shooting, 10 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.6 steals.

Six Kings scored in double figures, led by reserve Bogdan Bogdanovic with 22 points.

When Durant drilled a spot-up three-pointer late in the first half to reach the milestone, the Oracle Arena crowd rose to its feet, but play continued. Klay Thompson sat on Wednesday vs. the Clippers. Andre Iguodala can play some guard minutes, but that is about where the cup runs dry. "He's become the superstar that he has even on a night where it wasn't quite his night, he filled the stat sheet up like that and impacted the game".

He shot 14-for-18, including 6 of 7 from deep, and Zaza Pachulia added 12 points on a night when the Warriors were without their starting backcourt.

The team is third best in the league, with just 3.9 of its field goal attempts rejected per game - bested only by the Spurs (3.6) and Milwaukee (3.8).

You can win on nights when your offense is in a rut if your defense is up to snuff, and the Dubs failed to pass muster there as well.

Players will be sorted by conference and position (guards and frontcourt players), and the two top guards and three top frontcourt players will be named starters. The Warriors had their 5 game winning streak snapped. "He's Kevin Durant. The second youngest to do it". But the overall coherence was never there, and to be honest that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, especially with both Splash Brothers absent. "I don't see why [the blueprint to get four] would change".

Losses to teams from LA are frustrating, but dud games happen.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have won seven of their last eight games and they will be gunning for a sixth straight win after taking down the Nuggets in a 124-114 home win on Monday.

The Los Angeles Clippers are 19-21, ninth place in the Western Conference, and in the hunt for a playoff spot, to the surprise of many.
