Amazon's Alexa comes to cars, wearables and fitness devices to follow

Google just announced a slew of new Smart Displays featuring Google Assistant at CES 2018.

Alexa is already included in the next-gen Android Tv devices like the AirTv Player, Xiaomi, LG U+, and Skyworth. This redesign will place Google Assistant at the centre of it the company's digital retail experience. The new kit enables manufacturers to integrate Amazon Alexa on hardware such as hearables, headphones, smartwatches, and fitness devices among others.

Both the variants of Lenovo's new Smart Display carry a different price tag. "Google has many more moving forward there are question marks about how long Amazon can sustain the growth". The newer updated Assistant will be able to access all of your third-party Google Assitant services and will be able to control your smart home devices just by receiving commands from your cars. So far, this vision has been presented primarily through smart speaker hubs created to be placed in the centre of your home. The video shows how Google's Assistant work on the upcoming Smart Displays and how it would be helpful for you to make the smart display more smarter. "[The firm] has proven that there is a logical use case for a hands-free assistant in the smart home". It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 624 SoC and comes with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support. Lenovo stated they would be charging $199 for a device sporting an eight-inch screen, and $249 for a ten-inch model.

It has an 8-inch touchscreen display and speakers it says are tuned by Meridian Audio, on either side. This means that, at least for some products, you won't have to choose sides, and can control devices using whichever voice assistant you're in the mood for. Simply saying telling it "Good morning", will make the display light up and show personalised information for users to get ready for the day such as showing the weather, pending activities and appointments.
