The first set will be released on January 31st. The second set will be released on March 23rd.

Kirby Star Allies - March 16th Fans of the Kirby series will be excited to learn that the newest four-player co-op game in the Kirby franchise will be releasing on March 16th. It will also have a multiplayer feature that can support 6 users. A Nintendo 3DS demo of Kirby Battle Royale was also announced.

Indie game Fe and Celeste, courtesy of the EA Originals incubator, will make its debut on the switch January 25. Gamers that loved, or missed out on, Hyrule Warriors can return on the Switch with Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition later this Spring. This year could mark the release of premium consumer-friendly AR glasses. It is a 2D platformer that has taken some influence from Breath of the Wild in that you are able to climb up any surface provided your stamina doesn't run out and you can essentially glide by using a series of air dashes. However, Nintendo once again made a decision to go in a completely different direction than expected and surprised us all with a Mini Direct. Details contained in the gameplay trailer reveal that the story mode will feature a map for the titular plumber to explore, challenges to complete, and even boss fights to win.

Why exactly? Well the company's last big presentation came back in September, followed by smaller ones dedicated to specific games further into the fall. It's a hide-and-seek situation, where you can spend your time either hiding or finding balloons across the many ridiculous worlds of "Super Mario Odyssey". However, you also have the chance to find one that somebody else has hidden there. Although the content seems routine, Nintendo has also added something fairly new to this latest entry. He'll first appear in a new DLC for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle in spring. Donkey Kong is coming into the game's world, and with his inclusion comes a fresh piece of story. The DLC will be available this Spring.

What news stood out to you during the direct? She's pretty cool too, as she utilized an LED mask that can change its look on the whim.

New members of the Kong family!

Donkey Kong will be joining the cast as a playable character. He can double-jump, hover, perform infinite rolls, and even walk on spikes. Like previous games in the franchise, "Tropical Freeze" puts Donkey Kong and the rest of his family through a perilous adventure across dozens of gorgeous, brilliantly crafted 2D levels.

Finally, the show capped off with something that has been rumored for quite some time.

While I'll probably end up replaying Dark Souls: Remastered on PC to get the maximum effect of the redone art, it's nice to know that Nintendo is looking to court games and developers generally preferred by more hardcore types. It's scheduled for release on May 25th.
