A well-taken first-half penalty from striker Jamie Vardy and an injury-time goal from midfielder Riyad Mahrez gave Leicester City a 2-0 win over Watford in an entertaining Premier League game on Saturday.

Silva lost goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes, ending his run of 127 consecutive league starts, to a back spasm on Friday, while is also without key men Tom Cleverley, Will Hughes and Nathaniel Chalobah. I know what is our goal and I don't change one word from what I said at the start.

Only Stoke (18) have gone behind in more Premier League games this season than Watford (16), with the Hornets coming from two goals down in their last match against Southampton to draw 2-2.

"I think it's important to keep this squad because it's fantastic and it has a positive attitude".

Silva believed his Watford side created enough chances to get something out of the game, with substitute Andre Gray missing their best opportunity when he failed to make the most of a one-on-one with the score at 1-0. Vardy picked the ball up before firing his 11th goal of the season into the bottom corner of the net.

"I can not say this player stays here and nothing (else) is possible because I am not the owner", said Puel. "I think we work normally in this transfer window and it's important to keep our focus about our transfer window".

"The ambition is to continue this hard work and develop the players and continue to improve", he said.

"[It was a] tough game for both teams".

The Foxes have kept a clean sheet in their last two Premier League games - as many as they had in their previous 14 in the competition.

"For Slimani, I can not give all the ties about an individual player, I repeat, that since the beginning, that we have a lot of strikers".
