Bellator 192: Rory MacDonald crowned new welterweight king

The 28-year-old mixed martial artist from Kelowna, B.C., will be a walking billboard for cryptocurrency's Dash Network when he enters the cage Saturday at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., to challenge 170-pound champion Douglas Lima (29-6) at Bellator 192. But what I do with it is my business.

MacDonald, who fights out of Montreal, has been using and investing in cryptocurrency - digital or virtual currency - since 2014 after being turned onto it by coach Douglas Lima.

Come the last two minutes of the fight, and by now frustrated and behind on points, Rampage bent down and tapped the canvas with his finger telling Sonnen to engage.

"It's not just for me but it's going to a big opportunity for many other fighters and even Bellator itself ... there's tons of fighters interested in it", he added.

"I've got the biggest arms, I've got the greatest charm and I do all the harm", Sonnen said. Sonnen, as many expected would be the case, used his wrestling to get by Jackson, and advance into the next round of Bellator's heavyweight grand-prix. If they mess up, I'm gonna slam them'. A unanimous decision proclaimed him the new Bellator welterweight champion, but it came at a cost. In the end, it would be Rory MacDonald winning the war of attrition and becoming the new Bellator middleweight champion with a unanimous decision victory.

Lima knocked down MacDonald with a sweeping kick in the third round and appeared to be close to finishing early in the fourth, but MacDonald persevered. "Easy", MacDonald said. "It was an honor to compete with him". "But I'll tell you what, I will not cash that check".

Lightweight "Iron" (17-4-0) defeated (22-4-0) by unanimous decision.

Chandler took Yamauchi to the ground in all three rounds, capitalizing with a flurry of punches against the perimeter of the cage.

It was evident from the early rounds what each fighter had planned to do. Chandler is likely to get a rematch next with Brent Primus, who claimed the title past year when Chandler was forced to stop by an ankle injury. "I never want to say I didn't go out there and do fantastic things".

"Time is my friend right now", Pico said.

Sonnen remained focused and continued his clinch and takedown strategy, riding out the remainder of the fight, and earning unanimous scores of 29-28 from the judges.

With a round to go and a nasty welt taking form on MacDonald's shin and his face busted up, the challenger needed to dig deep and get back to what he does best.

Kruchten has now lost two of his past three fights.
