Below is a more detailed breakdown of how it all plays out.
A wintry mix of weather is on the way for Sunday.
After a brief break Saturday, the second system moves in, tapering by Sunday.
"The snow should become more widespread later this morning or early this afternoon and persist until early evening", Environment Canada says. It's expected the rain will then change back over to snow in some areas by early Sunday, according to the forecast.
But some good news - conditions will improve Sunday evening, clearing to mainly fair weather for your Monday morning commute.
"Persons in or near this area should be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions", Environment Canada said on its site.
It looks like we haven't yet seen the worst of the bad weather in store for this weekend.
A blanket of freezing rain is expected to hit SD&G Sunday afternoon and continue into Sunday night.
