The Hall of Fame Game launches the 2018 Enshrinement Week and takes place two days before the Class of 2018 is enshrined into the Hall.
According to reports, the decision by the National Football League to put the Bears in the game means that they can open training camp earlier this summer, reporting to Bourbonnais as early as July 18 if the team opts to do so.
The Hall of Fame Game will mainly include young, fringe roster players, but the extra practices won't hurt for a team that hasn't made the playoffs since 2010.
The Bears will play the Ravens in the annual Hall of Fame Game on August 2 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, which opens the NFL's preseason slate. This will mark the second straight year that the Hall of Fame Game will be played on a Thursday night and not on a Sunday.
Official Ticket Packages for the 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week are on sale now at hofexperiences.com or by calling 844-751-0532. The Ravens beat Chicago, 19-14, before the start of the 1998 season.
Lewis was picked, along with fellow Hall of Famer Jonathan Ogden, in the first round of the 1996 NFL Draft by the expansion Ravens.
Single-game tickets for the Hall of Fame Game, and tickets for the enshrinement ceremony, go on sale February 16 at profootballhof.com/tickets.
The rest of the Ravens' preseason schedule will likely be announced in early April with the regular-season schedule coming out a couple of weeks later.
