"Important meetings will be held in New Delhi with the President and Prime Minister of India in various fields of agriculture, modern technology, banking and transportation, which will be an important step in the development of bilateral relations", added Rouhani.
In a move to further strengthen the historic Indo-Iranian ties, the visiting Iranian President Hassan Rouhani assured here on Friday that Iran was ready to share its oil, gas and energy resources with India. The two sides are also looking to ink a number of pacts in several key areas.
On Friday, the Iranian president addressed a congregation of Muslims after performing Friday prayers at the historic Makkah Masjid in Hyderabad.
"Iran has abundant oil and natural gas resources and is willing to share them with India for its progress and prosperity of (its) people", he said.
The contract entails capital investment of United States dollars 85 million by India for equipping Chabahar port in southeastern Iran.
In his speech, Rouhani also referred to shooting incidents in educational institutions in the US.
Tehran said it is ready to simplify visa procedures and hoped India will reciprocate to facilitate easy movement of people between the two countries. He also visited the famous Qutub Shahi tombs in the southern city.
Telangana government officials and Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) office-bearers briefed the leader on the architecture and significance of the over 400-year- old monuments. The visit to India is taking place at the official invitation of the Indian prime minister who visited Iran past year.
Iran and India can reap optimum benefit from this mutually cooperation, Dr Rouhani added.
