Dunkin' Donuts Debuts Girl Scout Cookie-Inspired Drinks

Girl Scout cookies have been around for more than a century, so if you want to unload them at this point you got to come up with a good sell outside of guilt tripping unassuming people on their front step (s).

"We've been dreaming about these Girl Scout-inspired flavors for years", said Patty Healy, senior director of integrated marketing for Dunkin' Donuts.

Thin Mint enthusiasts soon will have another way to satisfy cravings for the iconic Girl Scout Cookie.

All three flavors will be available as hot and iced coffees, lattes, macchiatos, frozen chocolate, and frozen coffee through May under a license from the Girl Scouts of the USA. Every cookie purchase is an investment in girls as they lead today in preparation for tomorrow.

She said the company started exploring the partnership about nine months ago, working with the Girl Scouts to choose the featured flavors.

In a video posted to Facebook, the father-daughter duo hailing from Duluth, Georgia, sing a Girl Scout cookie version of Childish Gambino's "Redbone". From candy, ice cream and other sweet treats are common collaborations. They plan to use their proceeds for a two-night camping adventure at Camp Kirkwold, a camp owned by Girl Scouts of ME in Readfield, and for a community service project. Enjoying a coffee that reminds a person of her favorite cookie can be a happy memory to start the day. Or a Peanut Butter Cookie macchiato, which combines peanut butter, chocolate and coffee could be your poison. Why not grab a coffee and enjoy a Girl Scout cookie with it. "We also got Trefoils and they taste great".
