Hours before the news of Sridevi's demise broke, Big B had tweeted, "Na jaane kyun, ek ajeeb si ghabrahat ho rahi hai (don't know why, I feel a unusual uneasiness)".

Incidentally, when Sridevi was reigning at the box office, in the 1980s, she was referred to by some as the "female Amitabh Bachchan".

Sridevi's brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor told Indian Express that she died at around 11.30 pm local time in Dubai.

The actress was in UAE along with her husband Boney Kapoor and her younger daughter Khushi to attend a family wedding. Reports on the actress' death started to trickle in around 3:00 am. At around 1:15 am, Big B tweeted that he was feeling unusually uneasy. Some people say that Big B's sixth sense may have foreseen the death of Sridevi, and hence he made such tweet at such hour.
