CM Punk Reveals When He'll Be Fighting Next

As expected, the former professional wrestling superstar for the WWE, Phil "CM Punk" Brooks will be giving MMA another go after his terrible debut back at UFC 203 in September of 2016.

Dana White said in January that he was going to give Punk another shot, and his second career fight will happen in the flawless place.

On Monday, a Twitter user attempted to goad the former World Wrestling Entertainment star in to a response by asking "So when are we gonna see you cry again in the Octagon?" There is no indication as of now as to who CM Punk will be fighting but it will most likely be a fighter who is also finding his feet in the sport.

"June Nine, after I win and lock eyes with my lovely wife, embrace my coaches and shout out my entire team", Punk tweeted. That just so happens to be the date of UFC 225 in Punk's home town of Chicago. Punk has only one career UFC fight on his resume, a first-round submission loss to Mickey Gall at UFC 203 in 2016. It was a first round losing effort against Mickey Gall, who was only fighting for the third time in his MMA career. Punk has no amateur MMA experience to speak of and he does train with Roufusport out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The event takes place at United Center.

June 9 is when UFC 225 is set to take place in Chicago, Punk's hometown. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass, though the full lineup ands bout order haven't been finalized.
