Tickets will go on sale for the latest iteration of Apple's annual event on March 22 at 10 a.m. PT.
Occasionally the company also uses the event to announce hardware products.
As with previous years, Apple is relying on a lottery system to address demand for tickets. As always, developers who aren't chosen and consumers will be able to livestream the event online.
Apple holds its Worldwide Developers Conference every year that serves as the center stage for new software that powers the company's range of devices. This year, Apple will unveil iOS 12 and we could see the new Apple iPad Pro slates that feature an edge-to-edge display, the TrueDepth Camera and Face ID. While rumors suggest iOS 12's focus will be stability and performance, we don't know that much about the update yet. Submissions will be accepted from March 26 through April 1, and applicants will learn their status by April 20.
