Registrations open for Westworld mobile game

This is Westworld stripped down to a one-sentence description, and it's oddly horrifying that such a property would be turned into what we're fairly confident will be a mobile game cash grab. The project was still in the testing phase and WB Games had released no details.

HBO really stirred up a hornet's nest with its reimagining of the classic adventure Westworld, and it'll continue to generate buzz with the second season, which is set to premiere this April.

Produced by the company's WB Games in San Francisco through a collaboration with Kilter Films, the game was developed by Behaviour Interactive and will be released later this year for Android and iOS platforms.

You play as a trainee at the Delos Park Training Simulation.

"As a new Delos employee, learn to control Westworld". As the game progresses, you'll eventually take over all aspects of the Westworld park operations, "including manufacturing and care-taking of artificially intelligent hosts and satisfying guest desires".

Interactive Entertainment is capitalizing on the wildly successful Westworld experience at South by Southwest and offering pre-registration for its upcoming mobile game - based on HBO's series of the same name.

First off, yes, we are very, very aware that you are not supposed to walk away from Westworld thinking of Westworld as a fun theme park populated by cartoon caricature hosts and maintained by corporate overlords who never violate certain human ethics in favor of earning more money and furthering evil advances. You will also be able to manage show favorites like Dolores, Maeve, Lawrence and Teddy.
