Vikings QB Keenum to sign with Broncos

The NFL rumor mill has been in overdrive for weeks but the speculation will soon make way for actual player moves when free agency begins this week. Gang Green is not Bridgewater's only option, Rapoport added, but he is the organization's first choice.

Ndamukong Suh's future with the Dolphins is uncertain with reports that he is set to be released, while quarterbacks Kirk Cousins and Drew Brees are unrestricted free agents, though there is no shortage of speculation about their destinations.

Prior to the injury, Bridgewater had the full support of Minnesota's coaching staff as a popular breakout candidate.

Now, it's Teddy Bridgewater's time.

He has thrown for over 4,000 yards in each of this three seasons as a starter, but the Redskins have just one playoff appearance and have seen their wins drop each season. But the opportunity to sign Cousins is a rare one that could not be passed up.

He would replace Case Keenum, whom a league source said is expected to sign with the Broncos once free agency kicks off on Wednesday.

According to WCCO's Mark Rosen, former Vikings quarterback Bridgewater is finalizing a deal with the New York Jets.

Terms of the deal have not been revealed, but the New York Jets may be one of the most interesting and unusual fits for Bridgewater considering the weather and supporting cast the team has to offer.

If Bridgewater is signed and somehow starts much more than a handful of games in 2018, the Jets will be a year too late in any attempt to lose as many games as possible.

During the 2017 National Football League season, the Minnesota Vikings took control of the NFC North division. He finished with 4,093 passing yards, 27 touchdowns and 13 interceptions - and a Total QBR of 52.3, his lowest as the full-time starter. The importance of ball security can not be overstated after the Broncos' quarterbacks fired 22 picks last season.

The free agent quarterback is on the verge of a big payday at age 29, his first time on the open market.

McCown had a lot of success with the Jets previous year as a would-be bridge quarterback who managed to put up really nice numbers and help the Jets to a surprisingly successful season.
