Klay Thompson Thumb Injury Reportedly Diagnosed as Fracture; May Be out Weeks

The discouraging injury news continues for the Warriors.

Thompson and Curry will miss tonight's game vs. the Lakers as will All-Star forward Draymond Green (right shoulder soreness), Patrick McCaw (non-displaced fracture, left wrist) and David West (right arm cyst). Sports reported, citing unidentified league sources.

On Wednesday, the Warriors announced that Klay Thompson fractured his right thumb in Golden State's 109-103 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday. It will be interesting to see if Thompson can comeback by the end of the month as he is projected to. Until now, Thompson had only missed one game this season. Curry is averaging 26.3 points, 6.2 assists, and 5.1 rebounds while shooting 42.4 percent from downtown.

The Warriors, already playing without injured Stephen Curry (ankle), have gone 8-2 in their last 10 games and trail the first-place Rockets by two games in the Western Conference.
