Man City crowned Premier League champions

City were confirmed as Premier League champions on Sunday courtesy of second-placed Manchester United's shock 1-0 home defeat to the league's basement club West Bromwich Albion.

Vincent Kompany delivered an emotionally charged speech to Manchester City fans and players after the club's title triumph.

"You just want to hold on to the feeling".

He's had a hard couple years with injuries, but he never gave up, was always there for the team with a smile. ' - okay, we'll end it there.

In contrast to Bravo, Ederson has been solid when called upon to make saves.

But finally, it is kudos to Man City manager Guardiola who has now won League titles in Spain with Barcelona, Germany with Bayern Munich and now in England.

He missed many games as a a result of the incident as he had to travel to Spain where he spent time with his wife and family. He values not conceding a lot. "One of the things we have to improve is our consistency". I was unfortunate enough to play against that quality United side that dominated in the '90s, but this side would have beaten them - that's how good they are.

Silva has been a key figure for City for much of the season, putting in some inspirational performances that have seen him nominated for the PFA Players' Player of the Year award.

"This one differs in the fact we were consistent the whole season, we played at the level we wanted to and a few times we won it before we almost threw it away".

I was one of the people who said stop having a go at Pep, because that's how he plays. After they were dumped out of the Champions League in the group stage, they were knocked out in the FA Cup and found wanting in the EPL where they finished third, 15 points behind league winners, Chelsea.

Whilst Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal have all managed to provide us with some excellent laughs, and been figures to take the piss out of, Manchester City have been brilliantly boring or boringly brilliant. Stay in your position, and you have a plan. "In other times we almost threw it away". It's another way of playing the game. If Silva is the magician, De Bruyne is the relentless force — bringing a directness to City's attacking play.

It's how they've won it, especially when people were saying they can not do it this way.
